The Bloom Energy Server demonstrated a 60 percent electrical efficiency while the ship was docked as well as a reduction of carbon emissions by 30 percent. This has led to a signed memorandum between Bloom Energy Corporation and Chantiers de l’Atlantique to collaborate on developing future multi-MW installations onboard ships.
Kasvu oli yllättävänkin kovaa ja tulos aikalailla odotuksiin. Hyvää oli myös loppuvuoden näkymien vahvistaminen eli positiivista liiketoiminnan kassavirtaa haetaan n 1,5 miljardin liikevaihdolla. Kurssikin piti kohtuullisesti, kunnes kerrottiin uuden pääoman hakemisesta ja saatiin se 20 % dippi tällekin ja P/S heittämällä alle kakkoseen.

Kolme tuntinen setti ja paljon asiaa. Jos ei ole aikaa kuunnella koko juttua, niin kannattaa ainakin kuunnella lopun kysymys ja vastaus -osio, jossa paljon hyviä kysymyksiä ja asiaa mm. datakeskuksista ja siitä, minkä työn yritys tekee vakuuttaakseen asiakkaat heidän teknologiansa toimivuudesta. Sain samalla myös vastauksen siihen, miksi tuntuu siltä, ettei SOFC-puolella ole yrityksiä toisin kuin alkaline ja PEM-puolella. SOFC on siis uudempaa teknologiaa ja siinä Bloom on edelläkävijänä. Kilpailua ei siis samalla tavalla tällä hetkellä ole eikä sitä varmasti ole vähään aikaan tulossa. Ja jos Bloom saa liiketoiminnan vielä kannattavaksi ja on sitä kautta mieluinen kumppani asiakkaille, niin tästä voi tulla vaikka mitä.
Muuten konferenssissa oli paljon hyvää asiaa esim. ydinvoimalla tuotettavasta vedystä, jonka osaltajan Bloomilla on yhteiskuvioita ei vain jenkkilässä vaan myös SK Ecoplantin kanssa, mitä en itse muistanut. Myös jätteestä tehtävän energian osalta tuli ainakin minulle lisätietoja ja toivisin Nesteen ottavan Bloomiin yhteyttä, jotta uusiutuvan polttoaineen tekeminen olisi aikaisempaa ekologisempaa. Onko muuten Nesteen Inderes-ketjussa yrityksen edustajaa, jolle voisi tästä vinkata

Under the agreement, 300 kilowatts of Bloom’s solid oxide fuel cells will provide base load power to feed the auxiliary loads of Geothermie-Gesellschaft Bruchsal GmbH’s geothermal plant in Bruchsal, a city in Germany’s Upper Rhine plain. The plant supplies heat and electricity and has been part of a research project to extract lithium from geothermal water.
The Bloom fuel cell Energy Server™ can generate electricity from a variety of fuels without combustion, sharply reducing CO2 emissions and air pollution. The platform also generates clean heat, at temperatures greater than 350° Celsius, which offers a unique opportunity for heat recovery. Bloom’s design-build contractor on the project, 2G Energie AG, will handle the heat recovery integration, which will feed the heating grid. This will be Bloom’s first CHP installation in Germany.

For the third quarter of 2023, based on planned acceptances, I would expect our revenue growth to be similar to the second quarter and margins to improve slightly on continued cost downs and improving service performance.
Q) I guess it was about a year ago that you announced the plans with XL to install the units at Prairie Island and nuclear plant in Minnesota. So I was just confirming whether the timeline for that to be installed late this year is still online and whether you think that is like the biggest catalyst or drivers unlock electrolyzer orders and really accelerate the commercialization process around that.
A) So that particular project is going through all the regulatory approvals. And we still expect it to be on track from it’s timing of getting that going. And we see that as a really good project, especially to continue to showcase our technology with nuclear in that in that space.
We expect that over the course of 23 and 24, you’re going to begin to hear about different projects where we’ve been selected to be technology as part of that project. And our expectation is as you move later into 24, you should begin to see some shipments. But it really won’t be until 25 that you begin to see it impact the overall financials on it. So we feel like we’re still on track and we’re executing against the roadmap that we laid out as we came into the year.
We expect second quarter to be our largest service loss and financial performance should improve each quarter, as revenues grow, performance payments reduce, and replacement power module costs normalize.

The space-saving Energy Server™ installation was delivered within five months from order and commissioned within three weeks from delivery, demonstrating Bloom Energy’s ability to quickly dispatch power.
The first 600 kilowatt (kW) Energy Server was installed at a Unimicron plant on a platform over existing scooter and motor bike parking, with minimal disruption. It provides clean, reliable power to Unimicron’s clean rooms and mission-critical operations.
