Speaking before a meeting on Wednesday where the pledge is to be formalised, Le Maire added that he hoped U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration would join the group, which together accounts for 40% of export finance among OECD countries, following an upcoming review of U.S. export finance.
Le Maire also said the seven countries would commit to supporting climate-friendly projects and transparency in their export finance policies."

Hynion currently operates Norway’s only public hydrogen station, at Høvik in Bærum outside Oslo. In addition, Hynion plans to open hydrogen stations in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Porsgrunn, Norway, during the first half of the year. Eight hydrogen stations are planned in Norway and Sweden during 2022. In the somewhat longer term, Hynion aims to establish a network of around 30 hydrogen stations in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.
At the end of March, the hydrogen company Hynion tried to raise NOK 200 million to be listed on the stock exchange. But despite the green wave that has washed over the market over the past year, they only ended up with 60 million kroner.
Hynion boss Ulf Hafseld stated that it was all a real peel and that they had been maximally unlucky with the timing.

Ensi maanantaina kannattaa kääntää katseet kohti Vaasaa. Sieltä pitäisi tulla isompaa akkuihin liittyvää uutista. Kaupungissa on muutenkin ollut energiasekektorilla hyvää pöhinää ja alkuvuoden aikana on jo julkistettu monia alaan liittyviä investointeja sekä projekteja.

Täällä on ollut aiemmin esillä mm GTKn kalvoja, missä on todettu useiden akkumineraalien olevan kriittisellä polulla. Tässä analyysissä on keskiössä kupari, jota siis tarvitaan paljon muuallakin kuin akuissa. Käytännössä se mahdollistaa vihreän vallankumouksen.
Esityksessä on käyty läpi mm tuulivoima, aurinkovoima ja liikenteen sähköistyminen.
Kannattaa siis miettiä energiavallankumouksen vaikutuksia laajemminkin kuin yksittäisen energiamuodon tai sovelluksen kannalta. Mielestäni kupari on yksi vihreän energian ja talouden perussijoituksista. Jos hinta ei nouse tai pysy vähintäänkin nykytasoilla, uusia investointeja siirretään, jolloin tulevaisuuden vajeesta tulee entistäkin pahempi…

Ballard Power Systems (TSX: BLDP) (NASDAQ: BLDP) today announced the Company’s plans to provide fuel cell modules to Sierra Northern Railway (Sierra; www.sierranorthern.com) – the freight division of privately-owned Sierra Energy Corporation, operating in Northern California – to power a zero-emission switching locomotive. A purchase order for the fuel cell modules is expected to be issued by Sierra by mid-year 2021. The pilot program will be partially funded by a $4-million award from the California Energy Commission.

Tämä kertoo hyvin siitä, miten pitkällä jenkeissä tämä muutos on. Veikkaan, että tosiaan kiinallekin tulee jossain vaiheessa kova kiire kääntää kelkkaa hiilivoiman suhteen viime vuoden lisäyksistä huolimatta.
A coal miners union indicates it will accept a switch to renewable energy in exchange for jobs.
The country’s largest mine workers union signaled on Monday that it would accept a transition away from fossil fuels in exchange for new jobs in renewable energy, spending on technology to make coal cleaner and financial aid for miners who lose their jobs.

SJI has set benchmarks to achieve a 70% carbon reduction of operational emissions and consumption by the year 2030 with a 100% reduction by 2040.
To date, SJI has already made steps towards achieving this goal by securing several hydrogen and fuel cell projects as well as several agreements in the past few months to reduce carbon emissions.
For instance, SJI formed Catamaran Renewables, a joint renewable energy investment venture with Captona, and acquired 7.5MW in high efficiency fuel cell systems with further projects already in development.
In addition to this, a partnership with Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind was created for a green hydrogen pilot program in conjunction with their bid for a wind farm off the coast of southern New Jersey.
