As Neste has been mentioned in the Wiki article and they also know the formula, I’m pretty sure they’ve tried it. It would still be fossil fuel though AND produce some CO2 (if your guess was that it produces much less CO2 than normal diesel) and wouldn’t fit to their strategy.
