Luultavasti katsovat ensin, miten Hepokorpi edistyy/onnistuu.
Tuo XTX:n hanke on mennyt itseltä ohi, taitavat siinäkin tehdä ensin pienen 25MWh keskuksen koemielessä?

Microsoft’s new datacenter in Finland is designed to operate on 100% emission-free energy and to supply heat for the nearby cities of Espoo and Kauniainen, and the municipality of Kirkkonummi, in a unique collaboration with Fortum.
According to Microsoft, the datacenter will require approximately 400-500 gigawatt hours (GWh) of renewable energy per year, which the company plans to source locally through power purchase agreements.
Additionally, the datacenter will be designed to recover and re-utilize 70-85% of the heat generated in the data center area, with the potential to reduce up to 400,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
Microsoft announced its intention to build a new datacenter region in Southern Finland on March 17, 2022. Based on the information available, it seems that construction on the first datacenter building is estimated to take approximately 48 months to complete, with the second building taking approximately 60 months.
The datacenter will feature Azure Availability Zones, which are unique physical locations equipped with independent power, networking, and cooling to provide additional tolerance to datacenter failures. This investment is in response to Finland’s growing demand for high-performance, sustainable computing and fast and reliable access to Microsoft services.
Overall, the construction timeline for Microsoft’s new datacenter in Finland is expected to take several years, with the first building estimated to be completed in approximately four years.
