Osa raporteista olisi maksanu jotakin 2500USD. ![:face_vomiting: :face_vomiting:](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/facebook_messenger/face_vomiting.png?v=12)
Oma yhteenveto tästä on se että Hyzonin käyttämällä rungolla jenkeissä on todella hyvä markkina asema.
Freightliner hallitsee markkinaa Class 7 & 8 yli 40% markkina osuudella uusista rekisteröinneistä. Class 6 tipahtaa Freightlinerille jaettu voitto Navistarin kanssa.
Euroopan markkinaa dominoi Daimler (19% markkinaosuus), Daf pärjää raskaassa luokassa 16,3% markkinaosuudella hyvin.
Tälläisistä hultoverkko ongelmista on kärsinyt mm Tesla, tosin raskaassa liikenteessä auton seisottaminen maksaa muutamia kertoja enemmän per päivä.
Lopussa myös vähän markkinan kokoa EU/US.
European truck market dominated by seven brands
The European truck market is dominated by seven brands, part of Daimler (Mercedes), Paccar (DAF), Volvo trucks, Traton (Scania, MAN), Iveco (CNH Industrial) and Renault group. The market doesn’t change significantly from year to year, although the market share of big brands (in terms of units sold) has become more aligned over the years.

Koko rekisteröinti tilasto rekoissa kevyt/raskas sekaisin (tässä Daf jää koska kevyissä selvästi pienempi osuus)
Daimler 22%
Man 15,71%
Volvo 12%
Iveco 11,77%
Scania 10,68%
Daf 10,68%
Mersun jälkeen vääntö on tasaisempaa.
In 2020, DAF held a market share of 16.3 percent in the heavy truck sector, a slight drop compared to its 2018 record of 16.6 percent. By contrast, DAF accounted for 9.5 percent of sales in the light truck market. Compared to its 2019 figures, DAF has had a stable year in Europe despite the economic insecurities of the Covid-19 pandemic, having lost an insignificant amount of market shares in the light trucks segment. Comparatively, Toyota, Volkswagen and Daimler were the leading auto and truck maufacturersworldwide in 2019.

Sitten hieman asiaa DAF vety urakasta yleisesti:
While DAF is actively exploring and testing hydrogen combustion engines, it also believes it would be a huge mistake to throw away all the benefits of the combustion engine. There is a lot of speculation around the future of zero emission vehicles, but DAF Trucks are taking a practical approach looking at all of the possibilities open to it without backing winners at this point.
Hydrogen is one of the most promising routes to achieving zero-emission powertrains for long haulage transport when using wind or solar power to produce it. Like other truck manufacturers, DAF is exploring fuel cell technologies powered by hydrogen, but in addition to that, the Dutch manufacturer is also investigating the potential of hydrogen to fuel a combustion engine.

Ja lisää: Hydrogen - DAF Countries
Powering trucks with hydrogen
Hydrogen is certainly an option in the long term for powering trucks. In fact, there are two different options:
- a fuel cell that uses hydrogen to generate electricity to power the electric motor
- or using hydrogen as a fuel for the combustion engine.
Initial trials
Together with Toyota and Shell, DAF’s parent company PACCAR has been exploring various hydrogen options. The first hydrogen-powered trucks have already been tested in the port of Los Angeles. The findings from these trials will be shared with DAF so that we can start experimenting with the technology in Europe. If we want to achieve a real breakthrough with this type of technology in the future, it is essential that the first steps be taken now. And that is exactly what we are doing.

Muta toisaalta Hyzonin kennon on testattu markkinoiden parhaaksi.

Recently the Port of Los Angeles unveiled a new batch of hydrogen powered fuel cell Kenworths and the opening of two hydrogen fuelling stations as part of its strategy to reduce emissions.
Under the $82.5 million Shore-to-Store project, more than a dozen public and private sector partners have teamed up for a 12-month demonstration of the zero-emissions trucks, including Toyota, Kenworth and Shell.
Toyota Motor North America, designed and built the powertrain’s fuel cell electric power supply system, Kenworth designed and built the trucks with Toyota’s fuel cell electric system; and Shell designed, built and will operate the project’s two new high-capacity hydrogen fuelling stations.
Toinen uhka on Volvo ja Daimlerin liittouma polttokennojen kehitykseen liittyen:
In 1Q 2021, Volvo group also created a new joint fuel cell company called CellCentric in cooperation with Daimler Truck, aiming to make it a leading global manufacturer of fuel cells.
Sitten vielä Huyndai, tosin heillä ei tuolla Diesel puolella ole riittänyt myynti listoille asti joten raskaammat veturit tuskin Euroopassa/Ameriikoissa Huyndaita valitsee?
Olen aikaisemminkin asiaa täällä pohtinut ja tullut siihen tulokseen että osien ja huoltojen kannalta varsinkin jenkeissä fiksuin vaihtoehto olisi valita runko omalta mantereelta jonka varaosien ja huoltojen saatavuus olisi taattu. Tämä korostuu varsinkin raskaassa liikenteessä. Hyundailla on tavoitteita myös US markkinoille ja Kiinaan.
In the U.S., Hyundai reckons it is collaborating with logistics leaders to supply mass-produced fuel cell heavy-duty trucks. The company revealed the fuel cell-powered Neptune Concept heavy-duty truck at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show in October 2019, hinting at what the future holds and Hyundai’s plans for it. The North American market will be getting a 6×4 prime mover. By 2030, Hyundai says it expects more than 12,000 fuel cell trucks to hit the U.S. roads.
Hyundai is also working with various parties in China, which aims to get 1 million hydrogen vehicles on its roads by 2030 as the country’s hydrogen industry is on a sharp growth trend, creating massive potential. Three fuel cell electric trucks are scheduled for launch in China: a medium-duty truck in 2022, a heavy-duty truck is planned to follow.
Rekkamarkkinan kokoa isolla kirkolla:
Last year the US heavy duty truck market grew by 10.3 per cent, from 250 545 units in 2018 to 276 348 heavy truck sales in 2019. While impressive, this wasn’t a record; back in 2006, more than 284 000 vehicles hit the road.
While the United States market was buoyant last year, the two North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) countries, Canada and Mexico, also had a good 2019. Overall, last year in the NAFTA area, about 340 000 trucks hit the road, compared to the 300 000 units of 2018, which was already considered an excellent year.
The Daimler group, with the Freightliner and Western Star brands dominates the heavy duty segment. Freightliner alone enjoyed a market share of 36.5 per cent in December 2019. Practically, this means that more than one in three new heavy duty trucks in the United States is a Freightliner-badged vehicle. Daimler’s market share in medium duty was 37 per cent in 2019, slightly down from 38.4 per cent in 2018.
Huom: Ilmeisesti jenkeissä Daimler groupiin kuuluu Freightliner ja Western Star.
Tästä copy paste esityksestä on tullut jo hävyttömän pitkä mutta yksi hyvin markkinoita kuvaava läsy vielä loppuun jossa vähän mittakaavaa EU markkinoista.
