Se olisi kyllä ihanaa balsamia Nokia-sijoittajien haavoihin. Q4 on perinteisesti ollut aina hiton vahva. Nyt jos siihen tulee vielä extra-täytteet niin suut on makeina. Niin monet kerrat matto on kuitenkin vedetty alta, että mitään positiivisia skenaarioita ei Nokian kanssa kannata rakennella. Kun valmistautuu tuloksesta riippumatta 20 prosentin pulkkamäkeen niin ei kirvele ainakaan niin paljoa. Vehnäiset kannattaa jättää osaripäivänä kauppaan ja keskittyä juomaan laihaa sumppia. Toivottavasti Pekka Lundmark muuttaa pessimistisen, mutta historian valossa hyvinkin realistisen näkemykseni.

Eiliseen liittyen. Nokian kuluttajalaitteita aletaan tosiaan tarjoamaan kotinettiasiakkaille. T-Mobile tulee tekemään tätä taatusti isosti, mutta mm. Australiassa Optus on aloittanut tarjoamisen.

Olisko tuotanto niin pientä ja ei vielä kannattavaa ?
tuolta eikä oikein mistään näytä kuluttaja saavan… kyllä tuolle ja Mesh laitteille alkaa olla kysyntää, ainakin itse virittelin Meshin kotiin kun yhdestä kaapelimodeemista ei saanut koko kämppään hyvää verkkoa…

Niin ja tuolla laitteella ei edes pärjää yrityspuolella, kun ei ole siltaavaa tilaa. Et pysty siis käyttämään fyysistä palomuuria ja VPN-tunnelia eri toimipisteiden välillä. Meille oli ainakin käyttökelvoton. Jouduin ostamaan Huithain reitittimen (CPE Pro 2), että sain yhteydet pelaamaan. Olisin pitänyt tuon Fastmilen mielummin, mutta ei ole ajan mukaista tekniikkaa ja ei myöskään SA ominaisuutta.

Mikä laite oli käytössä, eli koskeeko kommenttisi kaikkia alla olevia (2 uutta laitetta ja 1 on vanha)? Vai ovatko nuo uudet tältä osin kehittyneempiä?

Edit: ymmärsin väärin. Mutta noita wifi-tuotteita myydään kuluttajille, ja Australiassa noita 5G-modeemeja menee asiakkaille saakka kotiin.
Siis kommenttini oli 5G Fastmileen. Tämä on vielä vanhalla piirillä (Snapdragon 50, ei 55) ja se ei tue SA (Stand alone) verkkoa eikä siltatilaa. Toivottavasti saavat pian pihalle uudella piirillä, varmaankin nimeltä joku Fastmile 2 yms.

Jaahas, minä ostin kesällä Telian kivijalkakaupasta tuon Fastmile 5G ja ei enää ole sieltä saatavissa. Nyt siis Elisan yrityspuolella vain myytävissä. Uskon, että uusi versio on kohta tulossa ja tämä luulisi olevan jo sitten kelpo peli.

Niimpä tosiaan taitaa olla. Samanlainen ulkomuoto hämäsi nyt itseäni.
Mietin et millä laitteella nuo operaattorit nyt tarjoavat tuota kotinettiä… onko nimenomaan tuolla vanhalla Fastmilellä. Siis esimerkiksi Optus.
T-Mobile ei vielä ole kaupallistanut kotinettiä, mutta ilmeisesti sinne on tulossa Nokialta laite. Onkohan siis tosiaan versio 2 tulossa näillä hetkillä ulos.
Noihin valtaamisspekulaatioihin liittyen, niin onko sellainen mahdollista, että jokin taho hypoteettisesti pistää usean eri bulvaanin ostamaan 4,9% osuudet firmasta ja sitten “yllättäen” ostaa kerralla usean eri 4,9% osuuden ja samalla tekee vasta siinä kohtaa ilmoituksen 5% omistajuuden ylityksestä?
Tottakai se on mahdollista, mutta laitonta.

Dish, which is sitting on an unused wireless spectrum portfolio worth $20 billion, is also working with Fujitsu, Nvidia, Altiostar and Mavenir to supply various parts of the network.
Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei [HWT.UL] have traditionally been the main suppliers of equipment for telecoms networks, but a U.S. ban on Huawei has narrowed the options, pushing operators to look for alternative vendors.
U.S. tech giants including Qualcomm, Microsoft and Intel hope that will give them a chance to expand their presence in telecoms equipment, where they already play a role as suppliers of routers, chips and software.
“With our vast 5G portfolio, from smartphone to infrastructure, we are committed to supporting Dish’s network vendors and device partners to bring new capabilities to life,” said Durga Malladi, senior vice president and general manager at Qualcomm.

Espoo, Finland – Nokia and Deutsche Telekom Group today announced they are expanding their strategic cooperation to build a 5G-ready IP network. Deutsche Telekom has selected Nokia’s 7750 Service Router (SR) platform to significantly expand capacity across its edge/core routing network as it prepares for next-generation broadband and 5G services. Deployment has already started in Greece, where Nokia is replacing and modernizing the operator’s existing IP network. Rollout in Hungary is expected in Q4 2020.
With networks experiencing unprecedented traffic growth and unpredictable demands, operators want to meet ever-increasing performance requirements while driving down network costs. The scale, feature breadth and versatility of the Nokia 7750 SR-s platform addresses these requirements, enabling operators like Deutsche Telekom Group and its affiliates to build bigger, smarter, automated and secure networks with greater return on investment.
As part of its network modernization, Deutsche Telekom needed to replace an existing IP edge/core network that was reaching its end of service with a new network that can cope with 5G and ultra broadband access requirements. A key principle to achieve this was the consolidation of network layers through the integration of IP aggregation and edge/BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) functions into one converged layer.
Deutsche Telekom selected the Nokia 7750 SR-7s routers as they support the full spectrum of provider edge, gateway and core functions for advanced residential, mobile and enterprise services. Powered by the programmable FP4 network processing silicon, the routers will enable Deutsche Telekom to boost IP network capacity with deterministic performace for a top-quality subscriber experience. As a result, Deutsche Telekom can support 5G interconnectivity and an increasing growth in backbone traffic driven by an increase in mobility applications, video streaming, gaming and other high-capacity demands such as remote working.
The 7750 SR-s is managed by the Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP). NSP supports 5G IP transport with automated slicing across IP and optical transport layers with end-to-end orchestration of network resource provisioning and assurance operations. This simplifies operations so that operators can create customer policies/slices with different network performance, quality and routing capabilities to respond quickly to fast-changing subscriber demand.
