Huhut yltyvät…
Edit: eiköhän tuo AW PS5-eksklusiivisuus ole todennäköisin lopputulos… saa nähä
Sony Interactive Entertainment is currently preparing a takeover bid for Remedy Entertainment , the Finnish studio behind titles like Max Payne , Alan Wake , Quantum Breakand, more recently, Control . The information comes from the site Push Square who claims to have heard from several sources.
Remedy Entertainment
Founded: 1995
Location: Helsinki, FinlandBest known for Max Payne but more popular in recent years for its work on Xbox exclusives like Quantum Break, Finnish developer Remedy has since broken away from Microsoft, bringing its next project Control to multiple platforms, including the PS4. Curiously, Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida visited the studio recently, while it’s been touring various first-party outfits like Naughty Dog. We’ve also heard from a number of sources that Sony is lining up a bid, although the company’s recent reacquisition of the Alan Wake brand casts some doubt on that speculation.
Likelihood: Neutral. Remedy Entertainment has maintained its independence over the years, and so is unlikely to be particularly open to the idea of an acquisition. We do believe that something is afoot between the Finnish studio and Sony, however, so don’t be surprised if it’s working on an exclusive for the PS5.

“PlayStation wants to get Remedy Entertainment”
PlayStation is going to commit Remedy Entertainment, if we can believe the rumors. According to sources from Pushsquare, Sony is closing a deal with the studio. However, the question that came to us this week is that Remedy has taken over Alan Wake’s rights from Microsoft. Would they transfer these rights to PlayStation right away? It won’t be? We know Remedy Entertainment from Alan Wake, Quantum Break and the upcoming game Control. Where do you like to see Alan Wake 2 appear? On the PlayStation or Xbox? Or just prefer both?
Control is the next game from Remedy
Where Alan Wake and Quantum Break were still Xbox exclusives, Control is also released on PlayStation. The game appears on August 27. The game is published by 505 games.Which game would you like to see?
Which game would you like to see after Control? Alan Wake 2? Or would you prefer a new IP? Let us know in the comments and ask all your questions right there. What other studios will PlayStation be committed to?
PlayStation may be attracting even more studios, just like Microsoft did. We will have to wait and see what this will be. Until then it is nice to speculate about which studios we would hope for. Kojima Productions, Supermassive Games … There are plenty of options!
Remedy Entertainment: Sony is rumored to take over the studio
According to a recent rumor, Sony is interested in taking over Remedy Entertainment. But how likely is it that the developers will give up their years of freedom?
Remedy Entertainment hit the headlines this week. The trigger was the fact that the distribution rights to “Alan Wake” from now on are no longer at Microsoft, but the developer. Quite quickly came rumors about a multiplatform release. However, much more could be planned.Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, recently emphasized that content is becoming increasingly important in the game industry competition. And with the PS5, the efforts should be further expanded - for example, with the purchase of additional studios. Remedy Entertainment, where in the past games such as “Max Payne”, “Alan Wake” and “Quantum Break” emerged, could be one of these studios. Currently the company is working on “Control”.
Sources speak of a takeover bid
Push Square referred to the possible acquisition in an article that addresses the likelihood of various takeover candidates. According to its own statement, the publication could speak of “a number of sources” that suggested that Sony had submitted a proposal to the developer Remedy Entertainment for the purpose of the acquisition. The “Allen Wake” -makers are to be affiliated with this step to the first-party studios of Sony. The article also mentions that Remedy Entertainment was recently visited by Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Worldwide Studios.
Of course, the mentioned acquisition is not confirmed. However, it seems that Remedy, with a focus on single-player experiences and a focus on storytelling, would work well with the PS4 maker’s aspirations so far. But Push Square also has doubts that Remedy Entertainment wants to give up years of independence.

In conclusion, it says: "Remedy Entertainment has maintained its independence over the years and is therefore probably not particularly open to the idea of an acquisition. However, we believe that something is going on between the Finnish studio and Sony. So do not be surprised if it’s an exclusive product for the PS5. "

huom: suurella Johtajalla on kaksi peukkua pystyssä… se tarkoittaa diiliä… yksi peukku olisi mielestäni vain “perus valokuva” ilman sen kummempia soppareita… ketäs muut ovat muuten kuvassa Sam Laken vasemmalla puolella?
